2 tablespoons cornstarch.
Bread cubes (as needed).
1 garlic clove.
1 cup white wine.
Rub the garlic clove on the inside of a fondue pot.
Dissolve the cornstarch in the white wine and heat the mixture in the pot.
Gradually add shredded cheese (e.g., Colonial cheese) while stirring until melted and smooth.
Serve with bread cubes for dipping.
